Before I bought my first kelpie, I have always had Dobermanns. The Dobes were great, and I will always have a soft spot for them , but I wanted an all rounder breed....and I have certainly got that in the Australian Kelpie. They are versatile enough to be successful in Obedience, Agility,Flyball, Showing, Herding, Tracking, Endurance, as well as great companions.

 Our kelpies at Firebear have done very well in the showring, with good results at All Breed & Specialty shows. All of these beautiful Australian Kelpies are now "Australian Champions" (one is now a "Grand Champion") and have had numerous "in Group" wins, including Best Exhibit in Group, and Runner Up Best Exhibit in Group. They have also had Success at the specialty level, including several "in show" wins.

The kelpies at Firebear are starting to progress with their obedience now, with Bear obtaining his CCD in Feb '08 and the girls working towards the obedience ring.

Even our red & tan kelpie Sally is a very special little girl.  Dogs of this high standard in both colour & conformation are very few & far between. Sally first entered the showring at 10 months of age, and only took 7 months to achieve her Australian Champion Title. Now she is training hard to enter the obedience ring, as well as competing in the occasional show!

Raycharles (Aust Ch Sasndash Raycharles)& Monnie (Yurrugar Black Diamond) are great examples of the most carefully planned breeding programs in place in these two top ETT Kennels. 

We hope to have a lot of fun with these two enchanting little dogs.
